Istanbul

Istanbul… Who knows how many songs have been composed, how many novels been written for this city? How many emperors, empires it has witnessed? Or how many civilizations it embraced so far? Imagine all the great scholars, artists, lovers that had trodden its roads throughout its history…

You see, neither the days are enough to visit thoroughly this great city that is historically so rich, nor the lines are enough to tell about it. However, those who come see Istanbul, even for a brief visit, cannot help but fall under its spell.

I have brought together all the things you should do, taste and visit at this magical destination.

Enjoy!

Bulgaria

“Bulgaria is a fascinating, beautiful, difficult country, and I fell in love with it.”

says Garth Greenwell, an American poet and author. Indeed, Bulgaria, at first sight, may seem a bit difficult to get used to; offish, so to speak. However, after a little while, you get to know it and it becomes a destination that you will miss visiting.

Greece

What Sir Fermor says may be one of the most accurate, closest descriptions of how Greece makes a traveler feel like. While enjoying today’s version of her magical beauty, you can still feel the weight of all that legacy of the past nebulously wrapping around you.

Ahh… I miss you, Greece.

Portugal

With its amazing sands, incredibly beautiful architecture, vast wilderness, friendly people and tasteful wines, Portugal is a country that constantly wows one and no-doubt worth to visit.

In this extensive guide, you will find the must-see spots, delicious food options, recommendations and to-do lists and you will feel like you are actually in Portugal without even leaving your seat.

Enjoy!

“But Portugal has a peaceful feel about it.  I sit on the terrace overlooking the vineyard there and I feel cut off from the world. You need that sort of thing.”
– Cliff Richard

Serbia

Stunning castles, enchanting landscapes, beautiful architecture that bears various styles as a result of housing many cultures throughout the history, villages that take you back in time with traditional methods that are still in use today, medieval monasteries…

This beautiful Balkan country offers more than enough despite the conflict that it went through in its recent history.

🎂Birth”week” memories. But feel free to take it as 🎂Birth”week” memories. But feel free to take it as a mini “where to eat today” guide. 🍝
Told you that I am celebrating not the age that comes but the year that has passed with all the ups, downs, happy times, lessons… Birthdays started feeling more important ever since. So this year, just like the previous ones, every moment was special, every company was dear to me. Thankful to all ♥️
.

A hidden gem in Príncipe Real, Bettina Corallo fee A hidden gem in Príncipe Real, Bettina Corallo feels like stepping into a love story…🍫☕️

Everything here is made from scratch — from beans grown in São Tomé to chocolate crafted without additives, just pure cacao magic🪄

Order a a cup of good coffee, pick your chocolate (will be a hard one among all those varieties but another good reason to keep coming back), and sit close — it’s tiny, intimate, and smells unreal✨

This isn’t just chocolate or just coffee… it’s a whole experience of slow moments, deep flavors, and conversations that last longer than planned.

Save this for your next Lisbon date 🤍

1)🌯 Turquaz - Finally a decent option for Turkish food in Portugal. Mainly eastern Turkish food but there are some meze (sort of Turkish tapas) options , as well as Iskender (another type of kebap from Bursa)
🥙We tried, içli köfte (meat stuffed bulgur balls); kebap mix, lahmacun (Turkish flatbread ancestor to pizza) and fırında sütlaç (rice pudding oven-caramelised version). And not to forget “Ayran” (Turkish refreshening drink with yoghurt, salt and water) and finished with black tea (of course 😎)
They were all almost as close to the ones in Turkiye but my favorite was lahmacun 🤤. Finally a good place to relieve cravings of Turkish food.
There is some space for improving but since they have just opened, it will get better in time. One little suggestion would be for interiors which would have been better with warmer colors or decoration that would elevate the whole experience.

2)🥢 Luka Eatery — We stumbled upon this spot completely by chance, and it turns out it’s quite popular! Luka Lisbon is the sister restaurant of the 7-year-old Luka Bangkok, featuring a menu inspired by flavors from Thailand, Korea, China, Indonesia, and Vietnam.

We ordered the General Tso’s Cauliflower, Kimchi Fried Rice with Chicken, and Salmon Curry — all of which were really satisfying. They also offer brunch options with an East Asian twist, which makes it a versatile choice any time of day.

I especially loved the cozy atmosphere, with its small boho details. It’s a great setting for everything from relaxed dinners with friends to casual nights out.

3) Castro - After the original pastel de Belem, my favorite go-to pastel de nata place. It is a perfect little finish to top off your dinner. I like to take a little walk so I feel less guilty for the calories ;) and to enjoy it with their tasty cup of “abatanado bem cheio” ☕️

The story of Sabiha Gökçen—the world’s first female fighter pilot—is a powerful reminder that courage knows no limits.
As I recently wrote about two brave Portuguese pilots, it felt only fitting to highlight her journey this March. From growing up in an orphanage to making aviation history, her legacy continues to inspire generations of women around the world.
You can read more in my latest blog post, published on March 8. (🔗Link in Bio)
